Dental cleaning involves an appointment with one of our registered dental hygienists and, in most cases, a visit from the dentist following the hygienist’s treatment. Our hygienists are highly trained individuals who are committed to your dental health.
They will perform:
- A dental examination
- Evaluate the health of your gums
- Perform an oral cancer screening
- Take any necessary X-rays
- Remove any tartar and plaque
- Apply fluoride varnish to those patients more susceptible to decay
- Discuss any techniques or procedures that may help you avoid more invasive dental procedures in the future.
We believe that a dental cleaning is an important part of long-term oral health, as it is not just a cleaning; it is a preventative measure to avoid future dental emergencies and discomfort. A preventative dental visit (cleaning) lasts approximately an hour.
What If I Need More Than a Basic Cleaning?
The $159 New Patient Special includes a standard preventive cleaning for patients with healthy gums and routine buildup.
If your exam and x-rays show signs of gum disease, heavy tartar buildup, or periodontal concerns, a deeper cleaning (such as Scaling and Root Planing) may be recommended instead. In that case:
- The standard cleaning will not be performed
- We will explain your condition in detail
- You will receive a personalized treatment plan
- All fees will be reviewed with you before any treatment begins
Our goal is to provide the treatment that is best for your long-term oral health, not just what is included in a special.
There is never any pressure—only honest recommendations and transparent options.
Please note: An in-office consultation is required before we can provide accurate pricing, as treatment costs vary based on your individual needs.
